Rothelowman, the acclaimed architecture practice, has unveiled its design for the Pioneer Townhomes at Bradmill Yarraville, a new residential mixed-use development by Frasers Property Australia.
The townhomes, which pay homage to the site’s industrial heritage, have already seen over 50 per cent of the first release sold.
The Pioneer Townhomes feature two- and three-storey layouts with three- and four-bedroom configurations.
The design incorporates elements that reflect Bradmill’s history as a prominent textile manufacturer in Australia.
Sarah Bloom, General Manager of Development — Victoria at Frasers Property Australia, expressed enthusiasm for Rothelowman’s vision, stating: “We’re delighted with the outcome and it’s been a key point of difference to our purchasers to date, with over half of our first release, Pioneer Townhomes, already sold.”
The townhomes offer a blend of traditional home features and modern amenities.
They include multiple bathrooms, studies in four-bedroom options, and varied outdoor spaces such as balconies, winter gardens, and landscaped areas.
The interiors boast modern joinery with ample storage solutions, walk-in wardrobes, and spacious kitchens with walk-in pantries.
Sustainability is a key focus of the development.
The homes are equipped with solar panels, water-saving fixtures, and double glazing for improved thermal performance.
Additionally, the all-electric design eliminates the need for gas, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
Chris Hayton, Principal at Rothelowman, explained the design philosophy: “Our design for the townhomes at Bradmill Yarraville are inspired by both history and the opportunity to create a vibrant new precinct in Yarraville.
“We’ve aimed to create a diverse range of architecturally designed homes to define a new future for the site whilst acknowledging the memories of Bradmill’s former life.”
The development also prioritizes community building, with shared spaces including Bradmill Social residential amenities, a retail and dining precinct called Bradmill Quarter, and a half-kilometre Linear Park.
These features are designed to foster a sense of connection among residents.
Bradmill Yarraville represents the third collaboration between Frasers Property and Rothelowman, following their successful partnership on the award-winning Burwood Brickworks project.
As the project progresses, it promises to deliver a unique living experience that blends industrial heritage with modern, sustainable design in Melbourne’s inner west.
