CBD Development Group has appointed Hickory as the building contractor for TRIO Box Hill, a premier mixed-use development comprising three towers overlooking Box Hill.

Designed by PLUS Architecture, the development will include three highly integrated towers ranging from 16 to 36 levels, situated atop a 6-level podium.

Tailored for multi-generational living, TRIO will encompass 460 diverse apartments, including two towers of residential apartments designed to suit singles, couples and families, and a third tower offering senior living apartments and a two-level childcare facility.

TRIO will boast a range of first-class amenities for residents including secluded communal gardens, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, infinity pool, sauna and steam room.

A wealth of retail, dining and entertainments options will also be incorporated into the development, in addition to an 8-level car park, 126 generous hotel rooms and two levels of sophisticated office and function spaces.

Situated on Whitehorse Road, TRIO Box Hill is a short walk away from Box Hill Gardens, and Box Hill Central is located just across the road.

Managing Director of Hickory, George Abraham, said that the company is excited to deliver the next generation of premium living in Box Hill, an area which is experiencing remarkable growth and prosperity.

“Hickory will be delivering a prompt completion of the development through the use of high-tech prefab construction methods, which will involve the use of precast core panels to fast-track the construction program,” Mr Abraham said.

The incorporation of Hickory’s prefab SYNC bathroom pods will also enable early handover on parts of the building in stages, significantly increasing productivity and allowing the developer to commence settlements three months earlier than practical completion.

Managing Director of CBD Development Group, Chen Guo Jing, added that Hickory’s innovative construction methodology and previous experience delivering high-rise developments in Box Hill made them their first choice of contractor for TRIO.

Construction for TRIO kicked off in September 2020, with completion slated for 2023.
