Victorian Builder Alchemy Construct has announced the appointment of Andrew La Rocca as the new Managing Director.
Andrew has previously held roles with BesixWatpac, Lendlease and ProBuild, most recently Victorian State Director for Roberts Co. He will take over from Founder and Chairman Jamie Nicolson.
Alchemy Construct was founded in 2015 by Jamie Nicolson and Sarah Anne Munro, and now employs nearly 100 staff in Victoria, delivering some of the Victorian States most important social infrastructure projects. With an impressive history of over 1400 successfully delivered projects across Victoria, Alchemy specialise in health, education, community, science, medical, commercial, sports and leisure, fit-out and refurbishment and correctional facilities.
Considered a true disruptor, the business has focused on creating a ‘new normal’ in construction, employing nearly double the national average women, and creating a human-centric culture, driving a sea change for the industry. With a strong focus on social infrastructure, Alchemy Construct are now market leaders in this space.

In a career spanning 20 years, Andrew has obtained broad exposure across many sectors within the construction industry and brings true end-to end experience spanning business development, tendering, project establishment, design and operational leadership – most recently leading at a very senior level in the Tier 1 space in Australia for the last 5 years.
