Former Western Australian Minister for Transport, Finance, and Agriculture and Food Dean Nalder has been appointed to the Development WA Board.
Having been elected in 2013, Nalder has served as a member of the WA Parliament for eight years.
Elevated as a Minister in 2014, Nalder held a number of high-profile portfolios, including transport and finance, and he also served as the Shadow Treasurer of WA.
WA Lands Minister John Carey welcomed the appointment of former Minister Dean Nalder to the DevelopmentWA and said: “I would also like to acknowledge outgoing Board Member Reg Gillard for his excellent service over the last two years. Mr Nalder brings significant experience to the Board and his extensive knowledge of transport and infrastructure will allow him to contribute greatly to DevelopmentWA‘s board.”
As a former Minister for Transport, Nalder brings to the Board extensive experience along with a unique insight into tackling urban planning issues and the delivery of infrastructure.
Prior to entering politics, Nalder held senior corporate roles at the ANZ Banking Group and Australia Post.
Nalder will join the Board in late December 2023 and will replace outgoing Board Member Reg Gillard, while Deputy Chair of the DevelopmentWA Board Rebecca Field has been reappointed for a further three years.
