One of the necessities to achieving a more responsible construction industry in Australia is the deeper integration of sustainable building materials and products.
To move forward and activate change, the industry has to stop admiring the barriers and start harnessing the collective experience and wisdom of key industry organisations that have the power to generate tangible change and results.
This has prompted leading industry organisations come together to discuss a more responsible construction industry in Australia. The team behind SEE Sustainable Experience have gathered together an impressive panel line-up to discuss and debate the topic “The Social, Economic and Environmental case for the deeper integration of sustainable building materials and products into the Australian construction industry.”
Confirmed organisations being represented include: New South Wales Government Architect’s Office, Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia, Master Builders Association New South Wales, Brickworks Building Products, Boral, Royal Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter, Building Designers Australia, Lendlease, Supply Chain Sustainability School, Australian Constructors Association.
The panel covers single dwellings to commercial buildings to infrastructure projects.
Alistair Coulstock from Cundall, the panel’s facilitator, brings over 20 years of industry experience to the table. Alistair will ask questions sparking discussion that will steer the conversation, away from wallowing in the problem, along a path that will harness the collective experience and wisdom of panel members resulting in tangible actions that lead to a more responsible construction industry in Australia.
